How payments work in ServiceTitan
ServiceTitan Payments takes card payments inside the ServiceTitan app. ServiceTitan's help center says credit card payments run through NMI, TSYS or Adyen, and bank (ACH) payments run through ProfitStars. NMI is a gateway: the connection that passes each sale from the software to the company that settles your card money.
The help center also lists in-person card readers, payments without the card present, recurring billing and text-to-pay. The fees you pay show up on your processing statement, so that is the place to start.
What we are checking for you
- Whether ServiceTitan lets a processor you already have, or one you choose, sit behind your account. The help center names its own payment partners and does not say you can add another.
- Whether the card readers ServiceTitan supports would work with a different processor, or would need to be replaced.
- Whether your saved cards and recurring billing could move.
- Your contract end date and any early cancellation fee.
Questions merchants ask
Can I use my own merchant account with ServiceTitan?
We have not confirmed it. ServiceTitan's help center names its own payment partners and does not describe a bring-your-own option. Contractors ask this often, so we check it for you, free.
How do I see what I pay for card processing in ServiceTitan?
Open your monthly processing statement and add up every fee. Divide that total by your card sales for the month. The result is your effective rate, the real percentage you pay after every fee. Our free statement review walks you through it.
Will a different processor work with my card readers?
ServiceTitan lists the readers it supports, and a different processor may need different ones. We confirm that before you change anything.
What happens to the cards my customers have saved?
Saved cards usually stay with whoever stores them for you. Ask ServiceTitan what can be exported, and ask us to check before you cancel anything.
See what you pay, for free
A person reads your statement with you and tells you what each fee means and whether a different processor is even possible with ServiceTitan. There is no pressure to switch.
