How payments work in Jotform
Jotform is a form builder. When a form takes a payment, a payment field connects it to a provider you choose. A payment provider is the company that handles the card payment. Jotform's payment integrations page lists many, including Authorize.Net, CyberSource, Stripe, PayPal, Square and Braintree.
The card fees come from the provider you connect, and they show on that provider's statement. Check Jotform's own plan page for anything Jotform charges separately.
What a switch involves
- Connecting your new provider to each form that takes payments. Each payment form is connected to a provider, so make a list of every form first.
- Testing each form with a small real payment after the change.
- Checking forms that collect repeat payments, and asking how those would move.
- Your contract end date and any early cancellation fee with your current processor.
Questions merchants ask
What fees apply to a Jotform payment?
The card fees come from the payment provider you connect and show on that provider's statement. Check Jotform's plan page for anything Jotform charges on its own.
What do I need to change processors?
A recent processing statement and a list of the forms that take payments. That is enough for us to tell you what is involved.
How do I see what I pay now?
Open your monthly processing statement and add up every fee. Divide that total by your card sales for the month. The result is your effective rate, the real percentage you pay after every fee. Our free statement review walks you through it.

A person reads your statement with you and tells you what each fee means and whether a different processor is even possible with Jotform. There is no pressure to switch.
