Network and Cabling Readiness Survey for a Fitness Facility

Norvet completed an on-site infrastructure survey for a fitness facility with a partially built-out network, mapping roughly 36 existing Cat6 runs, reviewing the existing UniFi environment, and delivering a phased plan for consolidating cabling and network equipment into the server room.

Survey Date

Jul 18, 2026

On-site infrastructure survey completed before the written plan was delivered.

Existing Cabling

~36 Cat6 Runs

Existing runs were identified for selective tracing, activation, and labeling.

Existing Platform

UniFi / UDM Pro

Current network equipment was reviewed for reuse instead of automatic replacement.

Deliverable

Phased Survey Plan

Written findings were delivered with supporting photos, video, and field notes.

The Challenge

The facility had a large amount of existing cabling, network gear, cameras, speaker wiring, and access-control cabling, but no clear picture of what was reusable, what actually needed to be activated, or how to budget the work without paying to terminate every existing run.

The Solution

Norvet surveyed the existing rack, UDM Pro, UniFi switch, verified access points, Cat6 runs, camera pathways, and ceiling-speaker cabling. The survey recommended tracing and selectively activating only the runs the facility actually needed, while documenting the rest for future use.

The Outcome

The client received a written survey report with supporting photographs, video, and field notes, plus a phased scope that separated immediate network needs from optional future work. That gave the facility a practical basis for choosing how many drops to activate and what equipment could remain in service.

Challenge

The fitness facility had inherited a partially built-out low-voltage environment with numerous existing Cat6 runs, network equipment, cameras, ceiling-speaker wiring, and access-control cabling.

Leadership needed to know what could be reused and which connections were actually necessary before committing to a larger infrastructure project.

Solution

Norvet completed an on-site survey of the server-room equipment, UDM Pro, UniFi switch, verified access points, existing Cat6 runs, camera pathways, and speaker wiring.

Instead of assuming every existing run should be activated, the survey recommended tracing, terminating, and labeling only the connections the facility actually needed while documenting unused runs for future expansion.

Outcome

The facility received a written survey report, supporting photographs and video, and field notes that translated the existing environment into a phased implementation plan.

The resulting scope let the client make a budget decision around the number of active drops and reuse existing equipment where practical, rather than paying for unnecessary work.

Network Infrastructure Survey for a Multi-Building Healthcare Practice

A growing healthcare practice needed to understand what it would take to modernize its network across two buildings. Norvet surveyed both, documented existing voice, data, and camera systems, identified rooms with no data or phone wiring, and delivered a scoped Ubiquiti-based modernization recommendation the practice could budget from.
